Navy League Cadet Corps - Training Ship Abingdon

Welcome to the Training Ship Abingdon of the Navy League Cadet Corps.

Founded in 2008, Training Ship Abingdon was established to provide a resource for children in the Sheboygan, Ozaukee and Manitowoc area.

With Children aging from 10-14, the NLCC helps it's members by providing them with a positive peer, and a structured mentor environment with emphasis on 3 core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.

We are always looking for new members. Please contact us if you are interested in joining.

We usually drill on the first full weekend of the month at the previous Batavia Elementary School in Batavia, WI.

Some of the Enrollment Requirements are:
A medical examination similar to a high school sports physical is required for all cadet applicants to the Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) or the Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC).  No one will be denied admission to the NSCC/NLCC due to a medical disability.  Where a medical condition precludes full, unlimited participation, a Request for Accommodation (NSCADM 001) Page 9 & 10 may be presented by the parent or guardian for review, so the cadet may participate in NSCC/NLCC activities to the maximum extent possible.

Adult applicants must be in good health commensurate with their age group and be free from any ailment or condition that would prevent them from satisfactorily performing their primary duty of supervising youth.  NOTE: Adults not physically qualified to perform all duties may still paticipate with a waiver from National HeadQuarters considering the parameters of their expected contribution to the NSCC/NLCC program.
